Our Approach
-
The first thing we do is talk to you to find out your needs. We
ask questions such as “Who is your intended audience? The
general public? Engineers? Etc.?” Where the translation is
going. For French, is it going to France? Canada? Algeria? Belgium?
For Spanish, is it going to Spain? Mexico? Argentina? Etc.? We need
to know the location, as there are regional differences in languages
from one country to another.
-
We assign a team of translators to your project whose experience
matches the content of the original text. The translators understand
technical and marketing terms in a wide variety of applications.
The team is responsible for the project from start to finish.

-
We review the master document to see if there is any special terminology
specific to the industry that needs to be clarified. Acronyms and
idioms may require special attention as they do not easily translate
from one language to another. For technical documents, we may be
required to convert capacities into and from the metric system.
-
We create a first draft of the translation, send that draft to
another member of the team for proofreading and then make any recommended
changes.
-
At this point the client may choose to send the translation to
their internal representative for review. Terminology for a part
or product might differ from one company to another. We want to
be certain that translations are consistent from one project to
the next.
-
If layout is necessary, we send the translation to our DTP staff
who formats the document, making it conform to the specifications
and style of the original.
-
For videos and films, we make a precise timing of the master narrative
track to ensure that the translation fits the length of the each,
individual scene.
-
The final version is delivered to the client in the required format,
PDF, Quark Xpress, PageMaker, VHS, DVD, etc.
